TENNESSEE Health Insurance, EasyToInsureME : Silent PPO

TENNESSEE Health Insurance : Aetna Health Insurance met with proponents of the "Silent PPO" legislation applicable to workers' compensation carriers to discuss possible compromise language. Progress has been made. With the legislative session scheduled to adjourn in two weeks, Aetna is hopeful this issue will continue to be discussed over the summer in order to prepare for legislation in the 2010 session. The proposed tax increase on HMO plans of 3.5 percent will likely pass with a July 1, 2009 effective date.
